I think the most logical choice would be Senator Marco Rubio for several reasons. He is a solid conservative and would back up Romney's support at the GOP base without overshadowing Romney. He wouldn't overshadow Romney because he is young and wouldn't want to ruin his political carreer if the GOP would loose in the general election. He could also appeal very well to Hispanic voters in the general election. He has already experience running for statewide and could bring Romney a victory in swing/ key state Florida. Therefore I think he would be a very good choice for Romney.

Unfortunately, I disagree with Jakob. In my opinion, I do not think that Marco Rubio, from Florida, is the most logical choice. Viewing the article's chart, I noticed that a key disadvantage of Rubio is that he is not "all for Romney." In other words, he is not fully on the Mitt Romney wagon. However, I beleive that Paul Ryan would be an excellent choice because I think that him and Romney get along very well. Additionally, they are both rather young and have a lot of energy to make a significant push together. Although this may not be correct, I also see this as an oppurtunity for Paul Ryan to really get his name out in the media. In reality, since he is a "rookie" people do not understand a lot of his goals and he could truly make a name for himself if he is to join Govener Mitt Romeny. Overall, Paul Ryan is the best choice, in my opinion

I agree strongly with Aaron I believe that Paul Ryan would make a great vice president to run with Romney. Paul Ryan is young and is chairman of the budget committee , a key committee in congress. The republican base can also see that he is not afraid to go up against the obama administration as we have seen with his budget proposals. I think a big question of asking Paul Ryan to be Romney VP is that I dont know if he will except it because he may feel he can accomplish more as a congressmen.

I think that Paul Ryan would be the most logical choice for Mitt Romney and would be a great vice president with Romney. Ryan is young and energetic which would help the campaign and help bring more energy to the campaign. Ryan is also part of a swing state that could be important for Romney to win and with Ryan on his side, there would be a greater chance of winning Wisconsin. Ryan has a bold plan to balance the budget and is not afraid to express his views which is needed to beat President Obama. Paul Ryan is not afraid to call out President Obama and Obamacare, which could help Romney. He is a loyal party follower, but still has his independent thoughts that he is willing to stick to, even if they are not popular with everyone in his party, which may attract independents. I don't believe that the fact that he is a House member and not a Senate member matters because he will become well known if he speaks out and is articulate with his plans. Paul Ryan would be an excellent choice for Mitt Romney and they would make a great pair on the campaign trail.

I believe that Rubio would be a much better choice than Paul Ryan. Despite the fact that I am an avid Paul Ryan supporter I think that both Florida and Wisconsin are going to be swing states in the upcoming election and based on the fact that Florida has more electoral votes (29-10) they are more beneficial to the Romney campaign. Also Rubio is latino which will give Romney a huge boost in the minority vote, which essentially carried Barack Obama to victory in 2008.

I really have to agree with everyone on this one. Marco Rubio is a “rock-star” when it comes to the political scene right now. He has generated a lot of interest and a lot of excitement to the conservative party. The Florida senator is a Cuban-American that is fluent in Spanish and brings with him a lot of Hispanic votes. Rubio would help Romney in the HUGE state of Florida but also potential battleground states with big Hispanic populations like Arizona, New Mexico, and Texas.

I think that Paul Ryan would be a great candidate for the Vice Presidency but I do not think he wants to do it. I believe that he feels he is accomplishing a lot (which he is) where he is right now in the House and would lose that if he went to be VPOTUS. That being said, the next best candidate would be Marco Rubio. He agrees with Romney on most topics and I think that he is also a small enough name as to not take away from Romney. If neither of these candidates will work than I guess we have to just shove Jeb Bush in there and let him be a puppet Vice President. Why not?

Sorry, I meant to say a controlling Vice President with Romney as a puppet President. Why not?

I think that Marco Rubio would be the best candidate for Vice President. Even if he appears to be unenthusiastic about Romney compared to the other options, I tihnk he would be the most likely to help Romney win the election. It is a huge advantage that he is a minority, especially considering the Hispanics are now the largest minority in America. Also, although people think Paul Ryan would be good partly because Wisconsin is a swing state, so is Florida, and it gets more electoral votes. So despite the fact that Romney may not like how Rubio doesn't seem as supportive of him, I think he is their best chance at winning.

I think that the best VP choice for Governor Romney would be Paul Ryan. I think this because he has the least negatives of any VP candidate, and the negatives he does have aren't even major drawbacks. Yes, he has never run in a statewide election, but he is the head of the Budget committee, which means he has many people who like him and he has national recognition. Also, he is very strong on issues and puts forth a lot of energy towards them. That is the kind of person it takes to attract voters, someone who will take a stand and fight for an issue.

I strongly believe that Marco Rubio would be the best vice president candidate for Romney. I strongly believe that presidential candidates look for the person who will get the most votes. In the past there have been multiple presidents who have had vice presidents that they were not fond of. Marco Rubio is strongly loved by the conservative party and loved by many citizens of the southern half of the country, this will help to get votes.

I think it's hilarious he was considering picking Tim Tebow.

However, a better educated choice would be Jason Bretzmann. He has a very expansive knowledge of government and politics and is likely to attract votes from the 18-21 year category, especially graduates of Muskego High School.

I would like to see Paul Ryan as the candidate because he is a Wisconsin native. How ever i think the Romney will chose Marco Rubio due to his southern roots and hopeful ability to draw votes from that region of the country.

I believe that he will choose Paul Ryan because he has a lot of conservative ideas which makes him popular among many conservatives. Another reason is because he is trying to be financially responsible for the nations economy.

I just had a huge paragraph but im going to have to summarize it because I dont feel like typing it all again. I think that "vetting" process for Romney will be a very intense one. Gov. Romney will have to settle for Sen. Portman of OH. I feel Romney would rather have a Rubio, or Paul but I do not think they would accept the nomination because they dont want to risk their careers. Sen. Portman is by no means a bad choice however, he will attract many far right votes. Unfortunately that is not what you should be looking for in a general election. He should focus on getting the moderates and more of the lefts votes. In the end I feel the Romney campaign should focus on being an antiObama campaign that is what will win them the election. Romney does not have a whole bunch of supporters but Obama does have a ton of haters. I do not feel that his VP candidate will make that big of difference in the end.

I think that Paul Ryan would be a better choice. First, his position which is the head of the Budget Committee would be an big advantage. Second, he is still young. He is energetic and is easier to attract people's attention. Plus I feel like that he and Romney are mind-like people. They would work and cooperate best.

I believe that Paul Ryan is Romney''s best choice for v.p. the reson is because Ryan has a lot of conservativeethods an I think this will help him win votes.

I dont think that Romnet will choose any of the other candidates as his running mate. i think he will choose Marco Rubio. Even though Rubio doesnt full support Romney, that can help him from making dumb mistakes because hell have someone close to him to help give him critiques. Also Rubio can help him win more votes in the south and more votes is always helpful

A very wise decision for Mitt Romney is to choose Marco Rubio as his running mate. by adding him to the ticket Romney gains votes from the hispanics, the youth, and florida which will all be critical to him being elected to office. Rubio would bring in a fresh breathe to the campaign and will allow them to be viable to a larger audience. A close second is Paul Ryan but he will not be choosen because his presence in the House Of Represenatives will be crucial to implimenting many of Romneys ideas.
