Opinion: Why did you take AP Government and Politics?

(What are you saying to others to indicate that they should register for AP Government and Politics next year?)

I took AP government because I am genuinely interested in how the system works. I'm big into music and most of what I like is about politics or how society works. And in order to understand how something works you need to be educated about it.
I tell people to take this class because I think it's really sad when people have opinions on issues when they aren't informed. I hate to see my friends make misinformed decisions so I tell them to take this class and learn about what is actually happening. I also took this class because I seem to get into a lot of debates about politics with my friends and family so I need to be informed in order to back up my theories and ideas.

Well, I took AP Government and Politics because I want to be a lawyer and I knew that this class would help me grasp a better understanding. Also, I took it because I wanted to make sure that government and being a lawyer was really something I was interested in so I would have a better time in college. My dad is also a very political person and I wanted to be able to know what he was talking about more and have a conversation with him about different political topics. I tell people that government and politics is a very interesting class and very benefical in the future.

I took this class for mainly reasons. One being able to say that I took an A.P. class my sophomore year. And two, because I actually wanted to learn about government and politics. I would like to be a judge someday and I figured that this would be a practical class to take.
I tell other people who ask about the class that while yes it is hard work, I have also learned so much. It might not show, but I have. I tell them that you should expect every AP class to be hard, but I also remind them that it is the hard classes that you remember the most from. May we all remember Mrs. Schutten. I do encourage people to take the class bcause if they are going into it looking for something to learn about the government, Constitution, and the politics in the US today, they will definitely come out of the clas with some knowledge.

I took AP Government and Politics because I want to understand what is going on in politics. I never payed attention to it, but now that I'm getting older I feel that I should care, because it will determine what I am going to be able to do.

I took AP Government and Politics because this was a Presidential Election year. I have never really understood politics, and not taking American Issues did not help that. I know that I need understand the basic foundations for our government to make an informed desicion on who to vote for in the next presidential race in 2016. I believe that this class will open my eyes to the world of politics.
