People that have political power are in positions of government or media. For example, Barack Obama has political power because he is the president of the United States. He can make laws and/ or alter them. One example of a person with political power in media would be news anchors on FOX or another network. They have Power in politics because they can run only the stories they wish to run, so they could influence they public with their own political ideals.
People who have political power are politicians who are backed by special interest groups. A easy example is the NRA, which is a widely supported gun advocate association. One senator they back is Max Baucus of Montana, who advocates for debates about "law abiding gun owners." So the people with the political power are George, Abraham, Jackson, and Franklin. Not in a literal sense but that money helps control the power through special interest groups.
A person that has main political power would be Barack Obama because he's the president and makes a lot of important decisions regarding the government and any laws that need to be made or changed. I also think that to some extent society has a tiny bit of political power, considering that as a whole we decide who we want to run the country. We get to choose whose ideas we agree with and who we think would do the best at running the country.
Political power comes from the position of the person it concerns. However, politics is and continues to be of wide-scope topic and influence. Obviously, our politicians and political leaders such as President Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner have significant political power in their respective duties and responsibilities. Both of these men have significant influence in the creation and alteration of laws and acts. Congruently, individuals such as school board members and our librarian also have political power due to their authorities and responsibilities. As superintendent, Dr. Thompson has significant influence on what school policies are adopted or changed. Likewise, Mrs. Watters has the power to monitor and regulate the students in her study halls.
There are a lot of very powerful people in the United States. One very powerful person is Barack Obama because he is the president of the United States. He can sign or veto legislation, command the armed forces, convene or adjourn Congress, ask for the written opinion of his Cabinet, grant reprieves and pardons, and receive ambassadors. That is a lot of power for one person. Another very powerful group of people is congress because they can lay and collect taxes and duties to pay debts and provide for the common defense and general welfare of the U.S.
There are many people that have political power. The President has the power to sign or veto laws,but the congress can also create and vote for laws.If the President is not behaving properly the congress and supreme court can impeach the president. There is no one who has all the power in the United States government.

If a policy threatened Texas in any way it could split up and vote against it with a larger number of votes that currently possible. In addition to this clause Texas is worth 38 electoral votes, the second highest number of votes for a state. Whichever party can gain Texas in the presidential election has a large advantage in winning the election.

Any decision she wanted or still wants that regards any sort of Beloit area business, it happens. My other example is Michelle Obama. From a political position she has created government programs in schools that are no longer "guidelines", but they have become mandatory rules that can be declined but with a penalty.

I believe that our government has an efficient system of checks and balances that prevent one person or group from having all of the political power. The American government is split into 3 branches; executive, legislative, and judicial.Each branch is in charge of their own part of the government and each branch has a way of keeping the other branches in check and limit their powers. For example, in the making of a law, Congress (legislative branch) can form a bill. The bill must go onto the president (executive branch) where it will be decided if it will be passed or not. The president has the power to veto the bill, but Congress has to power to override the veto with enough votes. This is only one of many examples of how the political power in America is separated among 3 sections of government in order to maintain balance. We can't be naive enough to believe that power works in the ideal way that we have been taught. In truth, the people and special interest groups who have the most leverage and funding typically find themselves in positions of political power. They work behind the scenes in order to pass bills and legislation and lift regulations in order to make their business or group further succeed and grow. Not only money talks, but also the influence each group has. For example, if a car manufacturer wants to change factory regulations to make it cheaper to produce product, they use their influence to get the legislation passed.
