My electoral map is on this link...http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bhhm. I believe that Obama will win the Presidency (Electoral College), but the popular vote will be a tie. I believe that Obama will win Ohio and no republican has ever won the election without ohio. I made my choices for the battleground states by looking up "Real Clear Politics" polls on who is winning the states. I gave North Carolina to Romney because democrats have only won North Carolina twice in the last 40 years. And I gave Michigan to Obama because the Michigan has gone to democrats the last five Presidential Elections.

This is how I believe the electoral college will look after november 6, http://www.270towin.com/. I beleve that both candidates will have an equal percentage of the popular vote. However Obama will win by 50 electoral votes wining the swing states of Nevada, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Virginia, Pennsylvania, and New Hampshire. Romney will win Colorado, North carolina, and notably Florida. I Made my choices by using www.politicalwire.com and http://core.talkingpointsmemo.com/election/scoreboard as online resources as well as looking up how each swing state has voted in the past 10 elections using www.270towin.com.

My prediction shows a pretty even split of the battleground states because I believe that this race will be the closest in a very long time. Obama's promises for changes that haven't come yet and Romney's view flopping make both candidates. RealClearPolitics helped make my choices as well as which way the states have voted in the past as well as trends in approval thanks to the graphs on RealClearPolitics.

Just wanted to make sure I mention this: This post is an analysis of what you think will happen. It is not a request for you to tell us what you want to happen. As a matter of fact, those two things may be different, and we should not assume that your analysis is also your desire. #justsaying #policy449

Romney wins! http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bhqD
The battleground states listed byhttp://elections.nytimes.com/2012/electoral-map are: Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, New Mexico, Nevada, Pennsylvania, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, New Hampshire, Ohio, Virginia, Wisconsin, Arizona, and North Carolina. To highlight a few, I put Nevada and Colorado Romney due to his Mormon faith because Mormanism is more popular in these West areas. I gave Pennsylvania to Romney because of his extensive efforts in the past few days campagining there. I gave Wisconsin to Romney because Raul Ryan (from WI) is his VP candidate and we have a Republican govenor. I gave Virginia to Obama due to his large margain victory in 2008. I have New Mexico to Obama due to his appeal to Latino minorities. I gave Arizona to Romney because John McCain (2008 Republican candidate) is from there.

http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bhhm I have that Obama will win the Presidency. I think that this election will be the closest election since we have had in awhile. I put Obama as winning Wisconsin by seeing that the polls say Obama is slightly ahead in Wisconsin. Looking at the polls gave me a better outlook on why i chose who won which state. I have Romney winning Michigan since the past week since he has been putting in good work with his campaigning. It'll be interesting to see how it actually turns out according to my predictions and the actual votes.

My electoral map is this link http://www.270towin.com/ and I have Mitt Romney winning the presidency (Electoral college) 261 to 277 electoral votes. Also winning the popular vote. I believe Obama will take Nevada, Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, and New hampshire for swing states. As for Mitt Romney I believe he will take Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, Virgina, and Pennsilvania for swing states. I made my decisions using www.politicalwire.com polls and their percentages. Also I thought about the affects of early voting on some states. Also made a few states decisions on past elections in each state and how they generally vote. Its going to be a CRAZY finish for who ever wins!!

I believe that Virgina will vote for Romney, because he currently has a +.5 lead there. Ohio for Obama, because he has a +2.3 lead. Florida for Romney, with a +1.2 point lead. New Hampshire for Obama with a +2.0 lead. Colorado is only a +.9 lead for Obama, which can switch at any moment. I believe that Wisconsin will win over Wisconsin with his +5.0 lead here. Iowa has a +2.0 lead for Obama. Nevada for Obama with a +2.7. North Carolina has 46.0% to 49.8% for Romney. Michigan with 49.2% to 45.4% for Obama. Pennsylvania has 49.3% to 45.4% for Obama. This concludes with Obama winning with 290 electoral votes to 248 for Romney.

I have my map shared through diigo, here is a link: http://www.270towin.com/#.UJcJTh12bwc.diigo

My predictions shows that Obama will win the elections with the states Michigan, Wisconsin, Nevada New Hampshire, Iowa, Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania. Then Romney will win Florida, Colorado, and New Hampshire but there is a really close race in Colorado and florida with 48 to 48 in Colorado and 46 and 46 in Florida. http://tinyurl.com/avmss7f

Here's my electoral map! http://tinyurl.com/amjk49p
It (unfortunately) shows the close reelection of Barack Hussein Obama. Although you should take my prediction with a grain of salt (I have never accurately predicted a presidential election in my life!). I made my decisions on the swing states based on recent polls. I don't think there is any way that Obama can win Florida based on this: http://tinyurl.com/bdlcrz7. But many of the other polls show Obama ahead in key swing states. The president will probably win Ohio and Wisconsin. This will seal our fate.

I think that President Obama will win for a second term. He has a lead in the swing state of Ohio and winning Ohio will be much needed electoral votes for Romney. I also think that obama will in Florida. The two key swing states Romney would need to win to have enough electoral college votes to challenge Obama. It will be a close race, overall Obama on top.

my electoral map is at http://www.270towin.com/ i shows Romney winning the presidential election, i used http://politicalwire.com/ to make the majority of my decisions, but i did have Romney wining Ohio because its very hard for any wining candidate to win without taking Ohio, i also gave Romney North Carolina because only two democrats have won it in the past 40 years.

I predicted that although Romney will win the popular vote, Obama will be re-elected and serve his second term (unfortunately). I gave Obama Ohio, because no republican has ever became president without ohio and I gave north carolina to Romney because democrats have only won North Carolina twice in the past 40 years. That is the link to my map.
I predict Romney will win! He has been to lots of states spreading his ideas. I gave Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan, and Ohio to Romney because their Republican governors have improved their economy, so maybe they will keep the trust in Republicans. I also gave Romney Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Nevada, New Hampshire, and Colorado. I predicted that Obama would win Florida. I used RealClearPolitics to help me with my decisions. However it turns out it should be close!

http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=bhhm I have that Obama will win the 2012 election. This election seems to be very split, and I believe it'll be the a very close race. The polls say Obama is slightly ahead in Wisconsin, so I put him has winning the state. Democrats have won Michigan the past five Presidential elections so I put Obama winning Michigan as well. However, I gave North Carolina and Colorado to Romney because they have voted consistently Republican the past presidential elections.

I have Romney winning the presidential election. My map is at http://www.270towin.com/2012_election_predictions.php?mapid=biCz I chose Romney to win the majority of the swing states. I used politicalwire.com to help me choose swing states. I also believe that Romney having momentum from the political debates has helped him become more popular.

I have President Obama to win the 2012 election. I gave Michigan, Nevada, Ohio and New Hampshire to the President because he has a decedent lead in the polls in those states. I gave the rest of the battle states to Governor Romney because those states are tending to lean more Republican. Ultimately my map came down to Pennsylvania as the deciding factor, and with the polls being tied for both candidates in that state really this election could go either way according to my map.

I believe that President Obama will win the election because of his slight advantages in the swing states of Ohio and Wisconsin. I believe Romney will win Florida and a couple low hitter swing states (low electoral votes), but it all comes down to Ohio and Wisconsin. Both of these stats' polls show Obama in the lead by a small margin. Although the polls have small percent errors that could alter the stats' outcome, and changing the outcome of the whole election, I have to trust that the polls are accurate. This is why I predict that Obama will win this election

On my map, I predicted Obama winning the election. If each candidate wins the states that the polls expect them to win, then Obama will win with 294 electoral votes. Since the race is so close, it is still either candidate's game, and could change at any moment.

I believe that Obama will win the Presidency. This is because I believe the popular vote will be very close, but it is the Electoral College who decides the President. Since it is the Electoral college who decides I think Obama will win because I believe he will win Ohio and no republican has won the presidency without getting Ohio's electoral votes.

In our representative democracy today is a huge day. Our class agreed that voting is one of the best ways to show that we have power over the government. I think that president Obama will retain his presidency. I think that Romney has not been able to persuade enough votes in Ohio to win it. Also I think that Florida will go to Obama. It will give Obama such a lead that Romney cannot comeback. He would have to win every other swing state plus a usually democratic Ohio. Overall just too big of a deficit that Romney cannot overcome.

Alec J said...

Thinking back to this my map was extremely off because President Obama won many of the swing states that I had going to Romney. So my map was way closer in electoral college votes than the actual election.
