in chile there were many bad things that have happened... and thats about it. but to preserve the world's llama population, i believe we need to help out chile in any way possible. right now their country is in a weakened state, and now there may be corruption or worse another earthquake on our south american friend who is down on their knees.
the tigers becoming pets thing would be kind of cool, it would allow me to try and recreate the fantastic movie "Secondhand Lions"
so maybe indonesia is a possible destination for many people to live who have wanted tigers as pets. but even more important than tigers, are the llamas.
the llamas have their homeland in chile, a mountainous country in south america. they run in and out the numerous hills and in and out of the mountains, yes there is a difference. without chile being aroud the llama population would be on the verge of extinction. just something else to think of for when all of the liberals go to help all of the colored-non-white-or-english-speaking-people. and when they get back, they will pass health care...hopefully

wow mike, i dont even know what to say to that or how to follow that blog...

First off, i would like to give Mr. Bretzmann props for the AP GOPO test countdown, very nicely done sir.

I would also like to point out that Carl Azuz looked like Freddy Krueger going to a dinner party with the striped sweater and blazer

What happened in Chile is a bit of a scare, especially being so close in time to the one in Haiti. Thank goodness that it not at severe, but it is still very dramatic. I think its necessary to help out Haiti and now Chile. Along with paying attention to the problems in our own country. We need to help them and ourselves.

What happened in Chile is devastating. This earthquake was more massive than the one in Haiti and both countries need help right now. Also, I have to disagree with Nancy Pelosi. I do not think that the Democrats will remain the majority in Congress come mid-term elections. Right now people are frustrated with the government and the blame is usually put on the majority party.

Is Mike actually going to get credit for that blog post?...

But what happened in Chile was really devastating. It's bad enough to see this to happen to anyone, but especially when it happens to countries that are struggling with poverty as it is.

And I would like to also give props to Mr. Bretzmann for the phenomonal test countdown.

earthquakes aren't dro

if this cycle of seismological activity persists, the world will end very soon as we know it. possibly even the mythological date of 2012.

there is no known way to counter tectonic plate movement.

humanity will end.

Although the earthquake in Chile was greater, Haiti was clearly in more need of our help. The U.S. offered to help Chile, but said we would only help them if they asked for it. Also, I think it's ironic that first he talked about a tamed and professionally trained tiger killing a trainer but them went on to talk about people raising tigers in their backyards...

Yeah I agree..earthquakes prolly aren't hydroponically growed.

I wonder if our friend Pat Robertson made any comments yet that they deserved it, as he said about Haiti. Cuz liberal, commmie, left wing, pinko, pot smoking, artsie, atheist, vegan, metalheads!!!111111111 And that that's what they get for "not believing in Jesus" or something like that. God's wrath, etc.

First Haiti, now Chile, it's just unfortunate for everyone affected by these natural disasters. It's a good thing that we can help these people as long as we don't lose focus on fixing our own problems. Now on a less depressing note, Carl Azuz and Mike should probably go to a corny jokes convention together. Mike that was a waste of a minute of my life actually reading that.

I actually think the idea of having senior year optional is a good idea in Utah. Obviously the students would still need to meet all the requirements, but if they want to graduate early and get their lives going, more power to them for their early ambition.
Especially since its overwhelming strength, it is very nice to hear that Chile was more prepared with newer, stronger buildings for this earthquake than haiti was..not to take away from the devastation of it all, but their planning and safety precautions seemingly paid off.

Well, since there is no new blog for this week and I already did one on the last, ill just write some random thoughts. First, how bout national english and math? Bad idea. Let's think here for a second. One textbook means idk maybe thousands of book making companies out of buisness, higher taxes, a flippen monopoly(which does and should not exist in the usa).

I'm in total agreement with Tyler regarding the national English and Math books. The effects of this would virtually dumb down the country.
The situation with the Chileans is unfortunate; although, the earthquake they experienced was greater than Haiti's, their efforts to reduce the effects of the earthquakes with their innovative buildings helped them greatly. I think that the situation in Haiti is far worse due to their EXTREME poverty. U.S. efforts with aid is admirable.

The natural disasters need to stop. To many country's are being hit. Mother Nature needs to go on a vacation for a while. Mike that blog was a waste of my youth.

The earthquake in chili is terrible along with all of the after shocks as well (over 100). The U.S. should should help out as much as possible to restore chili's villages and give medical aid to those who were injured. I also heard that clean water is a commedity and giving that is a substancial help. Fortunately for Chili, they were better equiped with better buildings in case of earhtquakes.

It is incredibly unfortunate that struggling countries such as Haiti and Chili have experienced the devastation of these earthquakes. People there struggle with living conditions on a day to day basis even without catastrophes to plague them. Affluent counties like our own should certainly help affected areas. The one benefit of natural disasters is international cooperation and awareness. So often a blind eyes is turned to such poverty-stricken countries, but when a natural disaster strikes, we are forced to see the misery the our fellow beings must face each day. It's unfortunate that it takes a disaster for the world to pay attention.

i think its important that we help any of our neighboring nations in the time of a disaster such as recently. Its pretty unfortunate. We have many of our own problems that we should focus on as well though.
