Analysis: Predict who you think will fill top spots in an Obama Administration and tell why these are good choices or not.

Here is a good site to predict and keep track. What will they think of next?!

I've already signed up and posted on this site thingy (about the Secretary of State), so I'll repost my thoughts here.

"Richardson has the best credentials of anyone on the list, except for maybe Clinton, but I think Obama will avoid her due to all the baggage they created during the primary campaign."

I'll have to do a little research on the hopefuls of the other cabinet posts before making any other decisions.

At the time I was looking at the Washington Post website, it seemed a slim majority thought Susan Rice would be Obama's National Security Advisor. I would agree with this because she has the experience that the administration should be looking for (with being on Clinton's administration) and I believe she served as a forign policy advisor for Obama's campaign as well. That gives him the loyalty he would be looking for.

I have heard that he is going to put Republicans in the cabinet. And even ask McCain for a position. I doubt that he will actually ask Republicans because they are the minority now and the election is over lol.

I think that Obama will actually bringrepublicans to help Obama run this country. If obama does what he said in the elections about wanting whats best for America then I think he will allow the republicans to help him create a balanced executive branch. I don't think McCain will be a prime candidate becasue of all the things the two men disagreed on and fought over. We shall see.

I think that he will try to make his administration as diverse as possible and for that reason I think it is hard to predict who will be chosen because honestly he could choose anyone and I would not be surprised.

I do not think that Obama will bring in Republicans because it will just "wreck" his status as a liberal. If his whole campaign was all about change, he will have to keep it that way.

John Kerry will have a fair chance at the Secretary of State position. He is very interested in the position and seems to have both the determination and the credentials for it. Hilary Clinton also seems like a probable choice for Secretary of State. This would be a very bold move for Obama since Senator Clinton doubted his experience and capabilities during the election.

I think that Sec. of State will go to Mrs. CLinton, she is very well quolified and has a strong standing with alot of Rep.(from what i read). Sec. of Energy i think will go to Mr. Richardson because of all he has done for New Mexico. The rest i think is up in the air, i hope some go to Republicans just to keep the country some-what balanced and so Obama will keep his word.

I think Obama will not incorporate many republicans in his administration because he has very strong liberal veiws and is not about to change them. This would not be a good choice for the country. More diversity would be better in his administration.

I think Richardson bought himself the Sec. of state position by supporting Obama so much(even in the primaries) and, of course, the grizzly campaign beard.

Honestly, I dont think anyone is going to be able to predict who will get secretary. Obama has so many choices to pick from. I think that Clinton has a shot at it but she was difficult back in the primaries. As far as John McCain, I see the logic but being a liberal he my stick with liberals.

I believe that Obama is simply paying a political favor to the Clinton's as his administration has seen an overwhelming amount of former Clinton people.

This could be very bad,as democrats have a new power that they can use to continue being corrupt.

I can only hope that Obama will be able to be president not more of the same tired political crap families like the bushes or Clintons

Looks like Hilary Clinton will be your next Secretary of State. I'm still trying to figure out if its a good or bad decision. I guess its good for him because he will gain all the support from the Democrats who liked Clinton. Another good thing about it is that no one will really have to worry about her running for president again...

First of all thank you Joannaz. You have just given me hours of entertainment.

I'm not so sure if Clinton would be the best choice for Secretary of State. The Secretary of State deals a lot with foreign policy. I'm not too enthusiasic when I hear the word "Clinton" and "foreign policy" in the same sentence no matter what.

I was surprised to hear that Obama would pick Senator Clinton to be on his cabinet after the long primary.

Super Obama World. Good Stuff.

If you would have told me a few months ago Obama would pick Clinton as his Secretary of State and that she would accept, I would never have belived it. I think this is the start to what is going to be a very interesting administration.

I think Obama picking Clinton for Secretary of State will be an interesting choice. It will help him gain more support from those who like Clinton.

Clinton was a decent choice for secretary of state. I had this feeling that Obama would have to give her something, and I can't explain why exactly I just didn't think it would be this big a role. I think he will now get a lot of support from the "hardcore" Clinton supporters.

at first i thought Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State seemed rather gimmicky and it made me question her sincerity in her support of Barack Obama.

But i trust that her political experience and knowledge will make her a solid pick.

I think a Clinton choice would be the final phase of uniting the Democrats after the Clinton-Obama primary.

I'm slightly surprised that Obama went through with his choice of Senator Clinton for Secretary of State. There are probably a few Clinton supporters that are happy with this selection but I think there are also a lot of Republicans and Democrats that do not think she is a good choice for that position.
