This blog is a place for us to give our Analysis and Opinions on important topics related to civics, government and politics.
Analysis is a clinical interpretation of items, issues, ideas, or events and an explanation of their impact on the future (i.e. something you think is going to happen).
Opinion is composed of your reactions, feelings, and beliefs on items, issues, ideas or events (i.e. something you would like to happen). Even though they are your opinions, they should be based in fact.

Are you concerned about the sequester cuts? Why or why not?
I am not concerned about the sequester cuts. I think it is a good start to lowering our debt (even though it would only reduce the debt by $1 trillion over 10 years). I hope that the administration will continue with larger amounts of cuts to various areas of government services.
I am not concerned about the sequester cuts either. Our country is in an extreme amount of debt and its nice to see that the government is trying to manage that debt. Hopefully we will see more cuts in the future.
Ehh, sequester cuts are too small of a step in my opinion, so I am not concerned at all. This is like putting a band aid on a broken arm. The debt our country is in is very concerning and I do not think these cuts will do very much to help.
I am not concerned about these cuts at all. It a start but no where near enough of a step to start getting rid of our debt. Our govt has a lot to do before there will be any improvement.
I'm not concerned about the sequester cut. It's an extremely small step, but will hopefully jump start more cuts over the course of the next few years.
I am not concerned about the sequester cuts because on our end we most likely will not see a difference and plus we need to start somewhere to try and reduce the deficit. $1,000,000,000,000 dollar sounds (and looks) like a lot but over ten it is but a dent in what needs to be done
I'm not concerned about the cuts, I think it's little improvement. With that the debts won't be close to be getting rid of and there needs to be more improvement with the government.
I am concerned about the sequester cuts. Not because they cut funding to important programs, but because the cuts are too small to lower the national debt. In my opinion the cuts to the armed forces need to be higher now that we are withdrawing from afghanistan. Also congress needs to actually pass a budget instead of letting government agencies spend what they want.
The only concern I have about the sequester cuts are on the behave of my friends entering the armed forces. Cuts like that impact the people directly involved. I am happy that the government is taking steps to lower the debt; however, such cuts will not make as big as an impact that we need.
Im not worried about the cuts because i believe it will be a step towards lowering our debt although these cuts would only reduce it by a fraction of the total amount.
I don't feel that these cuts will have much of an impact on the reduction of the debt. I view this as a weak attempt to reduce the debt, but hopefully the cuts will become a pattern to begin the seemingly impossible process of brining our country out of debt.
I am not concerned about the sequester cuts. I view them as baby steps, a nessesary start towards ending our 16.5 trillion+ debt (http://www.usdebtclock.org/)
Yes and no. Yes because some of the cuts will be from important programs like food inspections and federal courts. Cuts in those areas could cause problems. However, reducing the deficit is a goal we should stive to accomplish.
I am not concerned about the sequester cuts because I believe they need to be done. I believe the cuts to military are important because we are spending an extreme amount of money in that area. I understand it takes a lot of money to fund the military, but we are spending more than we need to.
Like everyone else, I'm not worried about the cuts. I am happy that some cuts are finally being made, no matter how small. It is a start and I hope they continue.
At this moment, I am not concerned with sequester cuts. I believe that they are needed right now. These are small cuts that will hopefully help manage the debt we have.
The sequester cuts of $1 trillion over the next 10 years is too small of a cut for 10 years, so I do am not concerned with these cuts and I also think that these cuts will be almost no help at all.
I am concerned about the cuts only because of the steps that congress put the nation through to force us to this spot. The fact that the sequester starts to address the idea of reckless spending and runaway deficits is a step in the right direction, but congress needs to do more to raise new revenues while providing only for the program that are necessary until we actually have the money to put into discretionary spending.
I think that these cuts are just the start to relieving part of the national debt. I am, though, concerned about where these cuts are being made. A lot of them are geared toward our safety -- the FBI and food inspection to name a few. These cuts affect our security and health and that scares me a little. I don't want to have to worry about feeling unsafe at home or in the lunch line.
I am not concerned with any of the sequester cuts. It is good that the cuts are being made and the nations debt has gotten out of control. I am also pleased that cuts have been made in the defense department.
Even though this is after the fact, in the short term I was not worried about the cuts because I though the government would push back the deadline like they had several times already. In the long term, I am concerned because the two parties don't seem to be able to compromise on the budget, and I don't believe an all-or-nothing approach is the answer.

I'm not concerned with this cut, we have to start somewhere. I just hope this is the start to more cuts in the future!

I'm not concerned about the sequester cuts. The cuts will help reduce our debt and possibly lead to more cuts in spending.

I am not concerned with the cuts at the moment because, something needed to be done but hopefully the cuts don't come back to hurt us.

I am not concerned with the cuts because they are so minor to what the debt is. It's a step in the right direction though.
Im not concerned about it im concerned about what it can cause down the ride the indirect effects of these cuts

i am not currently concerned about the sequester cuts because it will help with our national debt. i also may lead to more cuts in spending.

i am not concerned at all we need to stop giving so much money out. spending needs to be limited and we need to reduce the deficit
