I'll be looking for President Obama with his children waving and shaking hands on the inauguration stage. I think his tone will be quite serious and poised because he has been on this stage before. I think the president will give promises of compromise, assurance of safety, and a handful of inspirational words.

I'm expecting the President to be very calm and comfortable. I feel as if his speech will seem natural. Also, I think we will steer clear of the fiscal cliff issue and gun control rather just "moving the country FORWARD."

I will be looking President Obama to be very serious since he's been through all this already. I am hoping that he will ensure people that there will be more safety in our country. Especially everything going on with the gun control. Hopefully he will feel comfortable on stage and will give a great speech!

I expect the president to be authoritative and persuasive while addressing the nation. I also expect president Obama to be the calming voice of a nation that has felt a lot of stress in recent months.

He knows how to give a speech, and he has already been on this stage before, so I don't think nerves will be an issue! I'm looking for the goals and agenda he has planned out for the next 4 years of his presidency and expect promises to be made, and expectations he plans to meet.

We all know regardless of their political views that the current president is a very good speaker. I believe he will avoid the main issues of gun control and the fiscal cliff, and just talk about his plans to improve the average persons wellbeing. Overall, its probably going to be a lot of promises that hopefully he'll keep his word, but most presidents have a hard time with completing their promises.

We all know that the president is a very good public speaker especially when he has his TelePrompTer, but what I'm going to be looking for is how specific he will be when he says the country will move forward.

I think the president will be quite calm due to his previous experience. I will be looking for what he plans to do as president for the next four years.

I will be looking for what his plans and promises are for this term as president. I will also be looking for a serious tone and body language during the inauguration speech. The president should have no problem with this though, since he has already been through this.

I will be looking at President's Obama's face and trying to analyze how much he has aged since 4 years ago. Being president stresses and ages many men. I will look forward to seeing his family, and how they appear. I think I read that Beyonce will be performing, so you already know that I'll be interested in seeing her-just being honest.

I am interested to see if President Obama will make any references to Martin Luther King Jr. because his Inauguration happens to fall on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Also, it will be interesting to hear what he has to say regarding his first term as president.

im expecting President Obama to just be himeself. He will most likely have his children and wife with him. I also expect it to be similar to his fisrt speech but more relaxed because he has done this before. Another thing I expect to see is he will say how he will try to prtect our counrty as best as he can to make us feel safe and wont talk to much about thi fiscal cliff issue.

I am hoping to see President Obama. I hear he might be attending this awesome event. On a slightly more serious and less sarcastic note, I hope to see the president outline some of his plans for the next 4 years. Blissful optimism no longer will work in today's politics...

Also, I am hoping to see some single ladies put their hands up!

I will be watching the president and will be listening to see he will say "so God help me". Also, I am excited for any speeches he will make because he is a good speaker and this speach will define his second term.

I feel the president will be calm and give a good respectable speech. i feel he might address the fiscal cliff and the issue on gun control. this speech also plays a factor in setting the pace for the rest of the next four years.

I wanted to see if the president would make any comments on the future of our country's gun control policies, especially after the many recent tragedies that have happened.

The 57th Presidential Inauguration had lots of optimism. President Obama had a great speach. He mentioned a lot of history and mentioned the Framers, which relates to what we have currently learned in our class. Obama really stessed the point that in order to get things done in government that both parties have to work together. He used the word "together" a lot during his speech because he knows he can't make the proper changes alone. He was the first president to speak for gay marriage.

Josh DeGrave: Considering your post was a week late, I think you did a good job summarizing the Inauguration. Gay marriage, and "working together" was defiantly an important aspect you hit on.

I liked the honesty that came from your post, it was an interesting view point. I liked how you strayed away from the obvious topic of issues and plans being talked about and focused on the appearance of the president. Also, the honesty of watching Beyonce's performance. Love the dry humor.

When thinking about the inauguration I agreed with Brittany that he would be calm and comfortable because he is a good speaker and he has done this before. Good job. I also thought like Haley wondering if he would reference Martin Luther King Jr. Good thinking.

Garrett LeGros: I agree with your comment that his speech will be respectful and good because President Obama's speeches are always good and he has a lot of experience and has already been through an Inauguration. I also agree that his speech will set the way for the last four years of his Presidency.

Josh DeGrave: it's strange how much you got right about the inauguration of president Obama. I was actually really suprised that he talked about gay marriage. I believe we have more important things to focus on than that, but maybe he had some sort of reason behind it that I'm not sure of. Overall, he was an influential speaker, but shouldve focused on more important issues.

I agree with Olivia and Brittany that president will be calm cool and collective when speaking at the inaugragation

When the inauguration took place i wanted to know his views on gay marriage and i was wondering how hed answers question pertaining to that topic, President Obama handled it very well.

I will be looking for a president that is willing to compromise on issues but not on principal, someone who will balance the budget and put a high priority to reining in banks and providing incentives to not send jobs overseas. I will be looking for a president that will keep the military at currents levels or even expand it to the levels that the pentagon says are necessary. Finally, i will be looking for a preseident who will be tough on illegal immigration while at the same time making it slightly easier and more encourtaging to immigrants to take the traditional, legal way to becoming an american.
