This blog is a place for us to give our Analysis and Opinions on important topics related to civics, government and politics.
Analysis is a clinical interpretation of items, issues, ideas, or events and an explanation of their impact on the future (i.e. something you think is going to happen).
Opinion is composed of your reactions, feelings, and beliefs on items, issues, ideas or events (i.e. something you would like to happen). Even though they are your opinions, they should be based in fact.

Analysis: Clinton suspends campaign, endorses Obama.
I believe that this will help unite the Democratic party. Hopefully Clinton's supporters will realize that Clinton's and Obama's stances on issues weren't that different, especially compared to McCain. And when it comes to VP, I believe that it should not be rushed and Obama should consider Clinton, but take his time and have it well thought out...
About time...I think that when it comes down to it, the vast majority of Clinton supporters will vote for Obama when it comes down to him or McCain, even if Clinton is not on the ticket. As for the VP, I read about a good suggestion that I believe Obama had in mind, I don't remember his name, but he was a Senator with quite a bit of experience and Vietnam War Veteran. I thought he would be a good choice. Regardless, I concur with his emphasis on integrity and class for the VP, emulating Obama's strengths. I believe it would be in their best interests to pick a very well rounded candidate or one with vast amounts of policy experience.
Chuck Hagel is a long-serving Republican senator who is retiring this year. He is a Vietnam Veteran. He has a lot of experience. He opposes the Iraq War. His son was or is serving there.
Jim Webb is a freshman senator from Virginia. He is a Democrat with a lot of experience (just not in the Senate). He is a Vietnam Veteran and has worked in administrative posts within the military.
John McCain from Arizona is a Vietnam Veteran, but he's not available to run for VP.
me and my brother celebrated by donating money to McCain :)
as for his VP, Clinton would turn off a lot of people and turn on a lot, people have to harsh of opinions of her, I think that this dream ticket would attract a lot of - oh god i hate that women- independents over to McCain.
Chuck Hagel would be a good pick up for Obama but i think the fact that he is conservative on some issues would conflict to much with Obama's radical liberal stances. The only real thing they have in common i would guess is the Iraq war, but would attract a lot of independents if they could get along.
Jim Webb... seriously... a FRESHMAN senator from Virginia... shares Obama's very liberal views which could turn off independents and the guy has no experience which would look horrible running with someone as new as Obama.
It's fantastic that we have a nominee. I feel bad for Senator Clinton and I would be in favor of her vice presidency. I like how today Tim Russert on Meet the Press put it, "a skinny black kid with big ears from the southside of Chicago beats the Clintons." I think he was quoting someone else, though.
I am obviously excited that Obama won the nomination. I am also really proud of Clinton hah. I believe putting her full support behind Obama is crucial in uniting the Democratic party. I don't know if the dream ticket will happen, but I wouldn't be surprised.

Bill Clinton is not a Vietnam Veteran
John McCain has begun to run a biographical ad. in swing states. I've seen it once already in Wisconsin.
This was kind of obvious,
me and my brother celebrated by donating money to McCain :)

Alex, I find it funny that we celebrated the same way.
Except instead of donating money to McCain, I donated to Obama.
=]
I hope Clinton supporters start like Obama to unite the Democratic party. Also so they don't vote for John McCain and put a mistake into office.
McCain: I Will Veto Every Single Beer
If I was 21 years old, this would offend me! :]

Watch the video,
I think this was an EXCELLENT speech by McCain, one for the exam video...
I have to admit, at least the background isn't the green monster.
I'm a weekly watcher of Meet the Press and I am saddened today because of Tim Russert's death.
I just saw that on CNN, Vlad.
And although I don't watch Meet The Press, it's saddening.
