"Cut and Run"
"Stay the Course"
"This is a 'mood' election like 1994, and voters are in a bad mood"
"A Speaker Pelosi will try to impeach the president and hand out subpoenas daily."
"Do nothing Congress"
"Our nation will be weaker, and the enemies of our nation will be stronger"
"Scandal, scandal, scandal"
"Iraq, Iraq, Iraq"
"It's the economy, stupid"
This blog is a place for us to give our Analysis and Opinions on important topics related to civics, government and politics. Analysis is a clinical interpretation of items, issues, ideas, or events and an explanation of their impact on the future (i.e. something you think is going to happen). Opinion is composed of your reactions, feelings, and beliefs on items, issues, ideas or events (i.e. something you would like to happen). Even though they are your opinions, they should be based in fact.

"Iraq, Iraq, Iraq" is a rather unpredictable strategy. It opens you up to the retaliatory question "Would you have voted for or against the invasion", a question in which both answers alientate prospective supporters.
I'd have to say that the motto for this election should fall along the lines of "Incompetence" for the Dems. The GOP's strongest arguemtn seems to be "Stay the Course
Iraq, Iraq, Iraq! Both parties can use it. I think it goes hand in hand with both "Stay the course" and the Democrats wanting to set up a timeline. (I'm not saying "Cut and run" because that makes Liberals look bad) Anyway, the elections are obviously heavily reliant on homeland security, and what's going on in the Middle East. And I think most people are expecting that to be the focus. So, "Iraq, Iraq, Iraq!"
I think that the motto for this election would be "Iraq, Iraq, Iraq" since so many campaigns focus on this issue and it is a major issue in our country. And for some voters it would be the issue of either voting Democrat or Republican. Many voters do not agree with the war and feel we should send our troops home and this is bad for the Republicans because they feel that we have made significant progress. Also, i think both parties could also use the motto "Stay on Course", it is very appropriate.
In my opinion the motto for the next election should be a general one that can apply to Democrats and Republicans on a broad variety of issues. All of the major issues in this election can be summed up in one word: “Safety.” Safety in the protection of our country and its citizens from terrorist, safety for our men and women in uniform over seas, safety in the economy, safety in the protection of the interests of the voters, safety in our current world status, safety in protecting our way of life, safety in the freedoms we enjoy, safety in everything for all Americans. The motto for this election should be: “Safety is everything.”
I am absolutely certain of the newest slogan that I have come up with. "You don't have to know anything about me, but my opponent is a terrible choice because of ___, ___, and ___. Don't vote for him!"
As you can see I'm getting pretty tired of nothing but negative ad campaigns.
In my opinion the motto for the election should be, "It's ok to be great" or "It's the economy, stupid." "It's ok to be great" would be good because we are striving to make our country the best it can be; in other words, we want our country to be great. It would be a clever catch phrase for people to say to promote the country. It is something to say to put a smile on the face of the country and make us want to be great. "It's the economy, stupid" would be a good motto because everything relates back to the economy. We want to create an economy that is the most sound and full of profit, so if we just say "It's the economy, stupid" it's like saying "well duh, isn't it obvious?" because it should be. If the candidate acts like thats how it's supposed to be it would sound confident and people would probably like that.
The motto for this election should be "it's the economy stupid" because everything relates to the economy. Even involvement in Iraq relates back to the economy.
