By the way, a really easy way to help pay for the stimulus is to end the war on drugs and tax them.MattChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16448703181773202627noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-57432763550180030852009-02-14T20:14:00.000-06:002009-02-14T20:14:00.000-06:00Well by now the bill has been passed. It just sounds like something like this may have happened before and it might have worked. Lastly @ TylerDL I don’t think that really worked for something like the past eight years or so.Ryan Khttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15245775674498074755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-61979256580583163752009-02-08T23:59:00.000-06:002009-02-08T23:59:00.000-06:00WELL SAID MATT!!! Why should we allow the blunder of the first stimulus plan to go unnoticed? Now with less money they will pay employees less or have less of them to make up for their payment for this bill. We are in a lot of trouble and we're going to have to spend more than this. The one thing though is that we have to watch where all of the money goes. I've been hearing of some pork, but the only thing I have seen was something about an underwater telescope which is not necessary. Overall though all of this has to be done and will hopefully help the economy.d gundersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13984663097998473159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-45340819072825123242009-02-08T21:15:00.000-06:002009-02-08T21:15:00.000-06:00I think that this bill is probably going to end up...I think that this bill is probably going to end up being a step backwards, because the Senate largely reduced the money that was going to go to the states to help reduce tax increases. So I think the bill would start to help, but then people are going to have to pay higher taxes for the state, which will just send them back to step one.Jessie Rhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05167972059806891403noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-89965714039052541322009-02-08T20:22:00.000-06:002009-02-08T20:22:00.000-06:00Now is the wrong time to "inject" money into the e...Now is the wrong time to "inject" money into the economy. We should be lowering taxes insted of barrowing money to spend. The government should be running this country like a business. When your bussiness is down, you do not spend money loosely, you conserve. By impulsivly spending money like this, i feel we will continue to fall deeper into a bad economy.TylerDLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17754734835118539572noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-61987894800087298932009-02-08T19:31:00.000-06:002009-02-08T19:31:00.000-06:00I am really on thre fence about this bill...I mean...I am really on thre fence about this bill...I mean if it starts the economy in the right direction I'm all for it, but all this extra spending seems to be making things worse. I understand it's a new administration and different plan, and I do think the plan holds a postive outlook for the future. Also, Obama does have it outlined really nicely on his website. But, like everyone else mentioned, if it is executed carefully and purposefully I think it would make a great impact on our economy.Jenni Fhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05180229024918833455noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27559829.post-87860024053648354142009-02-08T18:26:00.000-06:002009-02-08T18:26:00.000-06:00The senate's stimulus package is positive progress...The senate's stimulus package is positive progress.
