the role of a senate filibuster in lawmaking is fairly simple. The filibuster is trying to prevent or delay action on a particular bill, or is trying to prevent or delay other buisness from being conducted. The role of the Rules committe is to schedule or manage the flow of legislation on the floor. They do this to make it easier or harder for a bill to pass, or make the process more efficient or orderly. The role of the Conference Committee is to reconcile differences in House and Senate versions of a bill.

Methods that Congress exercises oversight of the federal bureaucracy includes using select committees to have specialized investigations and policy implementation. Select committees are committees formed of Congress members for specialized issues. Congress exercises oversight of the federal bureaucracy with its policy implementation through its implied powers in the Constitution.

A senate filibuster is someone trying to slow down a decision on a particular bill that they do not approve of. They can try to delay it for as long as they hold the floor. The House Rules Committee is a committee of the House of Representatives. They have the power to decide how to determine if a bill can come to the floor. They are thought of as the most powerful committee because they can let specific bills in or keep them out. They also can pass bill fairly easily and quickly.
The Conference committee is to figure out and shape up the differences between the House's and Senate's versions of the bill.

1) A Senate filibuster is a tactic used by a Senator to delay or entirely prevent a vote on a bill. Senators talk for as long as they can because there is no limit on how long a senator can hold the floor. This process is often use by Senators in extreme opposition of a bill. The longest filibuster in history lasted almost a whole day. The House Rules Committee is limitations on a bill. They are able to control which bill will stand on the house floor to go through a vote. The House Rules Committee is needed because the house, unlike the senate, has limitations on debating bills. A Conference Committees role is to reconcile differences between the house and senates versions of a bill.

Casework decreases member’s attention to legislation. This decrease in focus is caused by the increased focus elsewhere by the staff, as well as more time spent on issues regarding the casework. The legislator’s increased focus on casework generally causes his or her constituents to be more likely to vote for the legislator in another election because the legislator is developing awareness for issues that may otherwise not be addressed at a higher level in government.

A Senate filibuster allows a senator on the floor to prevent action on a certain bill. The role of the Rules Committee is to manage the flow of legislation on the floor to make it easier or harder for a particular bill to pass. The Conference Committee adjusts differences in the House and Senate versions of the bill.

For bills to be passed into law they must be heard. For bills to be heard there must be an agenda and schedule and regulations. The House Rule Committee is in charge of this. The House Rule Committee is a committee in the House of Representatives that is in charge of determining under what rules and regulations other bills will come to the floor. Some bills may not be discussed while others have scheduled times. The committee must propose a special rule or procedural arrangement by which the bill can be discussed under. For legislation to pass, it must go through the House Rule Committee which serves as a hurdle to overcome.

The fillibuster in the senate is used to prtest a bill or agenda proposed by the senate. when it comes to the senate a senator can not just propose a bill. there is a long line of schedualing and other things that go into getting the house to vote on it. weather is be the subcommite the commite or the entie senate.

The senate fillibuster tries to prevent an action on that specific bill or prevent something else being formed. The House Rules Committee has power to determine how a bill can come out on the floor. They can do this to make the process easier and more efficiently. The Conference Committee is to determine the differences of the Senate and House versions of the bills.

A. The role of filibusters in lawmaking is when a senetor wants to delay the voting or completely get rid of a bill they might try to use a filibuster which is a long speech usually multiple hours. they will try to talk until the session is over or until the filibuster is stoped by a cloture vote which is a vote to stop a filibuster. The rules commitee schedules the legislation on the floor. this gives them the power to make bills easy or difficult to pass. The conference commitee combines the house and senete versions of the bill.

in congress the role of the filibuster is to stop a bill from passing through the senate. in united states history filibusters are known to last for hour. the only way to end one is to have a cloture vote or if the congressman gives up the floor. now people can just threaten to filibuster to have the same effect, and thus preventing a bill from being passed.

1 (a). A senate filibuster tries to prevent or delay a vote for a specific bill. The House Rules Committee determines the order that bills come to the floor, and also the length of time it is discussed for. This allows the House to oversee the implementation of laws that they favor. Finally, the Conference Committee is a committee with both House and Senate members to resolve any bicameral difference in versions of a bill

Senate filibusters have a basic role in lawmaking. The goal of a filibuster is to try and hold off, or completely eliminate voting on a specific bill. The House Rules Committee determine which rules will be in effect when a bill goes to the floor. Some call this committee the "traffic cop of Congress". This allows for certain bills to be passed more efficiently through congress. Finally the Conference committee's role in lawmaking is to dispute differences between the Senate and House. They do this by having senior members of the standing committee of each house meet.

The role of a Senate filibuster is to block the vote of a bill being presented on the senate floor. During this time a Senator "has the floor" and no vote or business may be conducted until the "floor" is given up or a cloture vote is taken and passed. The role of the House Rules Committee in lawmaking is significant. This House committee has the power to set debate length and amendment processes for bills. This means this committee decides how long it will take for a vote on the bill to take and how the bill will be changed. Finally, Conference committees play a role in lawmaking by amending House and Senate bill so they match. This committee makes sure that the two bills form the two chambers of congress match and have the power to change the bills in order to ensure that they do match.

1(c). Casework can make legislators or staff favor certain pieces of legislation. They may favor the legislation for any number of reasons, but mostly because it is favorable to the people they represent as well. If these legislators support legislation the people approve of, they have a better chance of being re-elected. This can cause legislators to not evaluate the effect of legislation on the people, but the effect of the legislation on their political standing.

1.a) A senate filibuster allows one Senator to take the floor for an indefinite amount of time. Senator's use the filibuster and the threat of a filibuster to convince the other party to modify legislation or drop a bill all together. The Rules Committee creates the rules for which bills are seen on the House floor. This is a very important committee because it has immense power over what legislation is actually even discussed. A conference committee is a group of reps and Senators who attempt to iron out differences on a particular bill that has gone through the House and Senate. An identical bill must pass in each in order for it to be sent to the president, so this is a vital portion of the legislative branch.

The role of a Senate Filibuster is to prevent or delay the action of passing a bill. The senator that is trying to fiibuster a bill has to take control of the floor and debate the negative side effects of the bill. They can not stop talking about it or they loose the chance to filibuster the bill. The House Rules Committee is the limitations on a bill. They are part of the House and they have the option to decide whether or not a bill gets to make it to the floor to be voted on. The Conference Committee is the group of people that resolves the conflicts between the house and the senate.

The senate filibuster is primarily for delaying action on a particular bill. The House Rules Committee's job is to manage the flow of legislation by making the process more efficient. The conference committee works out the differences of the House and Senate versions of a bill.

A senate filibuster is used to delay the passing of a bill. A senator will talk for as long as he can to delay the bill being passed. The House Rules Committee is in charge of determining the bills that are heard by the House of Representatives that day. This means they get to make it easier for some bills and harder for others. A Conference Committee helps the two houses compromise on one bill. This is important so that the bill can be passed and put into legislation.

A senate filibuster's role in lawmaking is to delay or prevent a bill from being passed because one senator has the floor for as long as he wants, unless there is a cloture by 60 senators. The role of the Rules Committee is to decide the terms under which bills will be heard. This is very important in lawmaking because they have power over which bills are even brought up and when they are discussed. The Conference Committee is a group of House Representatives and Senators whose role is to try to compromise into getting one identical bill passed through each house. They are important because in order for the bill to get passed onto the president, the same exact bil must be passed through both houses.

1(c). Casework can effect legislators to favor certain pieces of legislation. the reason they favor the casework can be for any reason. The main reason,is most likely because the people they represent find it favorable. Because these legislators are in support of legislation that the voters favor, their chance of reelection is better. Because the legislator wishes to be reelected, this desire causes the legislators to ignore the possible effects of legislation on the people,to instead evaluate the potential that the legislation has on their re election.

Casework affects members' attention to legislation by distracting members. Casework includes multiple services that members do for their constituents' assistance. Time and resources are lost, and complete concentration to legislation is not present.

One method by which Congress exercises oversight of the federal bureaucracy is that Congress can reject appointees to the federal bureaucracy. Congress has the power to confirm or reject the political appointments to the federal bureaucracy.

b) Congress exhibits oversight of the federal bureaucracy by having the power to confirm or deny appointments by the president for new members of the bureaucracy. Congress can do this in order to prevent potential bureaucrats from joining the president if the person is seen as having little to no knowledge of the policy area he or she is being appointed to. It prevents people who may just be good buddies with the president from being in charge of a federal position.

Casework affects members’ attention to legislation by diverting time and resources, which reduces their ability to pay attention to legislation.
