Labor and Employment, Drugs/Legalization/Illegal, and Health Care.

The PPACA has obviously been under a lot of heat, so healthcare would be an interesting topic to float around on. What the candidates have to say about the "War on Drugs" would be something new, and then Labor and Unemployment is kind of a ongoing and important subject.

The national deficit, illegal immigration, and health care since these topics affect each individual in this country in some way and are all controversial.

Controversial issues, and the stances that political candidates take on them, are some of the deciding factors of any campaign. Some of the topics I hope these candidates tackle are: gay marriage, due to human rights; abortion, due to the same; and alternative forms of energy, due to the reign on energy gasoline has.

I would like to see healthcare discussed becouse something should be done but not as major as obamacare. Oil drilling is another topic that i would like to see discussed becouse i think more drilling for our own oil will help create more jobs. i would like the public deficit to also be discussed becouse it shows that we are spending more money than we actually have.

I hope to see foreign policy as an issue that is heavily debated on Wednesday. Obama will have to explain how he will adapt his policy for the Middle East, while Romney will need to explain how his policies will work better. Healthcare should also be on the top of the issues for the debate. Finally, I would like to see the candidates debate over unemployment. It will be interesting to see how Romney's plan differs from the current policy.

Unemployment is a good topic to see what Mitt Romney is going to do different than what President Obama is doing. Another interesting topic would be taxes and the national debt as well as the economy now and what it is going to be. Most of the topics i want to hear are the ones that involve policy rather than controversial issues. Most people know that Democrats and Republicans differ greatly in some fields like abortion and gay marriage, so we all know there will be disagreement. It's more interesting to hear the different points of views that aren't so radical to each other.

Obamacare, the state of the economy, and abortion are topics i would like to see discussed because they are all major issues and they have been for a while now.

Obamacare, creating more jobs, and income tax are some of the things i would like to hear. I would like to hear them because all of them are very interesting topics that many people are thinking about.

The Top three topics that will be discussed during the debate are Obamacare, a new program that each canidate has opposing and strong views about, jobs, which is the main focus of the economic spectacle right now, and finally the national debt, because senator Paul Ryan has a plan to reduce the deficit and tht plan is a major part of Governor Romney's campaign.

Despite the debate being over already, I would have liked to the two candidates debate more about energy. Mitt Romney and Barack Obama both call for change in the U.S’s process of obtaining energy. Romney made a few comments on the topic calling for an energy independent North America, not just the U.S. However, these comments did not last long as the debate was consumed by taxes. I am happy with the fact that they focused a large amount of time on fixing the debt. I do realize this has a lot to do with taxes, but as a young person that is going to be greatly affected by the debt in a couple of years, I have my concerns with the looming debt. And finally, I would have liked to hear more about Libya and what each candidate would do if the organized terror persisted in the Middle East. All of these issues require a solution and each candidate has a different opinion on each, these issues would have caused a more heated (and potentially better) debate.

I would have liked to see more information on what Romney's stance on health care. President Obama could have given the positives from his "obamacare." Unemployment is a major issue, which I wish was addressed with more emphasis and direct strategical ideas. Since oil is not a renewable resource, I would have enjoyed listening to ideas different energy sources and the effects of these decisions.

I would've liked to see more about how the candidates would conserve and use renewable energy sources because oil will eventually run out in the Middle East. I would've also liked to see more about how the candidates would lower the cost of living by making policies that would raise the value of the dollar. I would've also liked to see more about how each candidate would reduce the national debt significantly because the burden of paying our debt back will be on future generations.

I would've liked to see more of a debate on Obamacare. Also, more specific ways Romney and Obama plan on reducing spending and decreasing our national debt. Lastly, I would have enjoyed hearing more about their plans on increasing employment.

Although the first debate is over, I still have questions that went unanswered. In future debates I would like to hear their thoughts on alternative forms of energy. I would like President Obama not only to step up his assertiveness but prove how he has created more jobs. Aswell as Romneys plan on abortion.

Even though the debate has passed... I would have liked it if the debate covered each of the candidates' energy policies, tax plans, and what the difference between their healthcare plans are.
I know that Romney and Ryan are campaigning for energy independance which would be a great thing for our country's economy. All that seemed to go on during the debate regarding taxes was Obama accusing Romney of proposing a 5 trillion dollar tax cut while Romney tries to explain that he is also going to be eliminating deductions for the rich. And I wish that Romney was a little more clear of why he dislikes Obamacare when it is so similar to his own plan in Massechusetts.

i personally would have liked to see them expand on their opinions on alternative energy, i think Romney should have talked more about his opinions on health care, and lastly i think it would have been nice to see them talk more about "obamacare" and how it either is good or bad for this country.

Great comments on what you would have liked to have seen. Feel free to also comment here on what you want to see in the upcoming VICE-presidential debate (or what you will be looking for). BTW: It's Thursday Oct. 11 We'll be chatting at www.todaysmeet.com/bretzchat1011

I would've liked to hear more about the pros and cons of Obamacare. Along with plans to make the environment more eco-friendly, and more ideas for tax plans rather than stating what's been done in the past years.

The Economy, Healthcare, and the deficit.

These are the three big issues that are troubling our country today. I am not saying that the other issues do not matter, but these issues are the most pressing right now. With the economy experiencing a slow recovery, everyone split on healthcare, and how semingly nobody has an idea how to bring down the deficit; I would like to know how the canidates will deal with these issues.

Three topics that should be discussed are education, healthcare and new energy sources. The usa's education system is falling behind fast. If something is not done future generations will not learn the skills needed to keep the usa competitive against forgien countries like India and China. Heathcare is aslo a big deal because many people are concerned about Obamacare and what it means for them. Finally, there should be a discussion about new energy sources. Countries like China are leading the world in solar while the USA is being left behind.

Even though the first election has passed I would like to hear about illegal immigration in the next debate. Also the economy is always a big issue in the country so how they plan to change it would be good to hear about and how they plan to go about healthcare. Healthcare is always an important issue.

Kyle Johnson-Evers said...

The deficit, health care, and foreign policy. I feel that the deficit will cause a lot of debate and hearing what each would do with it will help decide on a candidate. Also health care and foreign policy are most likely topics that both of the candidates have opposing views on and that would be nice to hear.

Unknown said...

The national deficit, health care, and the increasing unemployment and what they are going to do.

Unknown said...

the national deficit, illegal immigration, and the unemplyment rate, how they will fix it.

Unknown said...

Health care, our national debt and unemployment because these seem to be the big issues with our society today and will continue to be issues if they are not worked out or "fixed".

Alrighty, it’s now down to the final debate before Election Day! The VP debate was heated although many think it was won by VP Biden. That would mean that Republicans won the first, and Democrats won the second. I believe this last debate will be the deciding factor of many undecided voters. Aspects I hope they discuss or achieve are, #1. Being assertive while supporting THEIR party (focus on themselves rather than the negative of the other party). #2. President Obama’s plans for Obamacare. #3. How teenagers will benefit from them being elected. ITS DECESSION TIME!!!

Unknown said...

As it comes down to the final debate, i hope that the candidates discuss 1) plans for healthcare 2) unemployment in the country and 3)income taxes. It will be interesting to see how the debate turns out this upcoming week!

In the upcoming debates the candidates will most likey be focused on the econemy, foregin affeirs, and social issues because they are the issues that effect the popeles everyday lives. illigal immigration could be a big topic in the town hall debate because it effects the job situation in the country.
